Full Run Privacy Policy

Full Run (“the app”) is a comic want-list app for iOS published by Bryan Deemer. This policy describes what information the app processes, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Summary

• Your want lists, smart lists, photos, and profile name are stored on your device and, when available, synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit.
• If you share a list, catalog and “found” status for that list are stored in Google Firebase so invited viewers can see and update shared data.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information you provide

The app stores data you enter, including:

• Profile name — a display name you choose (default “Me”), used for sharing labels and activity messages.
• Want list content — comic titles, volumes, publishers, issue numbers, series years, notes, optional prices, priority, and whether an issue is marked found.
• Cover images — optional photos you attach to issues; stored locally in the app’s database on your device (and in iCloud when sync is enabled).
• Smart list filters — saved filter rules applied to your primary list.

Information stored automatically

• Device and app storage — SwiftData persists your lists on your iPhone or iPad. If CloudKit is unavailable at launch, the app may use a local-only store until sync can be established.
• iCloud / CloudKit — When signed into iCloud, your private want-list data may sync across your Apple devices using Apple’s infrastructure. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Shared lists (Firebase)

Sharing is optional. When you publish or join a shared list, the app uses Firebase (Google) with anonymous sign-in tied to a random user ID. Data involved may include:

• Share code, list name, list type (main or smart), owner display name, and catalog items (same fields as on your list, without your private iCloud-only copies on other users’ devices).
• Found / acquired state for shared issues, and who last updated it (display name and Firebase user ID).
• Membership — which Firebase user IDs have joined a list.
• Share activity events — when a viewer marks an issue found, an event may be recorded for the list owner’s in-app activity feed.
• Push notification token — if you allow notifications, your device’s FCM token is stored under your Firebase user record so list owners can receive alerts when viewers update found status. You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings.

Only people who know your share code (or open your invite link) can join a list you published. Viewers cannot delete issues from your published catalog; owners control catalog updates through republishing.

Title search (Comic Book Database API)

When you search for titles while adding comics, the app sends your search text to Comic Geek Speak’s CBDB API to suggest matching series. That request includes the search query and standard HTTP metadata; it does not upload your full want list.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

• Provide want-list, smart-list, Short Box, and sharing features inside the app.
• Sync your data across your devices (iCloud) and with people you invite (Firebase).
• Send optional push notifications related to shared-list activity.
• Improve reliability and fix bugs (for example, error logging on your device does not include your list contents in messages sent to us by default).

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not use your want-list data for third-party advertising.
• We do not require a separate Full Run account; sharing uses Firebase anonymous authentication.

Retention and deletion

• On your device / iCloud — Delete issues, lists, or the app to remove local data. iCloud copies follow Apple’s sync and backup behavior.
• Shared lists — Firestore data for a share code remains until the owner stops publishing or deletes the list in the app and backend cleanup applies. Leaving a shared list removes your membership; mirror data created on join may be deleted when you leave.
• FCM tokens — Stored on your Firebase user document while you use notifications; you can revoke notification permission in iOS Settings.

Security

Shared list access is enforced with Firebase security rules and Cloud Functions (only owners and members can read or write list data). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a device passcode and keep your share codes private if you do not want others to join.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
