This policy describes how the JSON Max application handles information. JSON Max is built as a local tool: your JSON content is processed on your Mac and is not sent to our servers, because the app does not operate an online service or telemetry channel for your documents.
Data the app uses
- JSON text and files. Content you paste, type, format, or open from disk stays on your device unless you explicitly copy it elsewhere or save it to a location you choose.
- Clipboard. The app may read the system pasteboard to detect JSON (for example, to offer “Paste JSON”) and writes to the pasteboard when you copy formatted JSON or a subtree. Another app on your Mac could read the pasteboard according to macOS rules; that is outside JSON Max’s control.
- History and preferences. Recent formatted entries, group names, pins, scroll positions, tree expansion state, and settings such as history size are stored locally using standard macOS app storage (for example, UserDefaults / app container). They are not uploaded by the app.
Network and analytics
The application is not designed to transmit your JSON or history over the network for processing by the developer. If a future version introduced optional online features, this policy would be updated to describe them clearly.
Third parties
JSON Max does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs as part of the described behavior. Apple’s operating system may collect diagnostics or usage data according to your Mac and Apple ID settings; refer to Apple’s privacy materials for what the system shares with Apple.
Security
You are responsible for the sensitivity of any JSON you load into the app (for example, tokens or personal data). Treat saved files and shared pasteboard content with the same care you would use for any local editor.
Children
JSON Max is a general-purpose developer utility. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app or legal context changes. The “Effective” date at the top will be revised when material updates are published.
Contact
For privacy questions about JSON Max, contact the developer or support channel you received with the app (for example, the App Store listing or project maintainer).
