This policy describes how the Metronios iOS app handles information when you use it to browse comic metadata from the public Metron project.
Summary
- The app does not sell your personal information.
- The app does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- If you sign in, account credentials are stored securely on-device and sent only to Metron's API over HTTPS.
Information the app accesses or stores
Metron account (optional)
If you sign in with a Metron account, your credentials are verified with Metron and stored in iOS Keychain. They are used to authenticate requests to https://metron.cloud/api/. Signing out removes saved credentials from this app.
Guest mode
The app may support guest API usage depending on build configuration. A local counter can be stored in app preferences to enforce guest usage limits.
Search history and local cache
Recent searches and cached API responses may be stored locally on your device to improve performance and usability. Removing the app or clearing local data removes this information from the device.
Network requests
Browsing and search depend on HTTPS requests to Metron services. Server-side request logging is handled by those services under their own policies.
Data we do not collect in the app
The app is not designed to collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone input, or other sensitive permissions for core functionality.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated over time. The effective date at the top indicates the current version.
